I graduated with a BA from Wartburg College in Waverly, IA and a JD from the University of Iowa College of Law. I am also a graduate of the 2007 IADC Trial Academy and the 2008 Leadership for Five Seasons program.
I am a member of the Linn County and Iowa Bar Associations. I serve as the Chair of the Technology Committee of the Linn County Bar Association.
My wife and I have four children, three sons and a daughter.
I am a member of Twin Pines Baptist Church. I serve as the Treasurer for my church. I am also on the Board of Directors for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Cedar Rapids.
Finally, I take an inordinate amount of interest in the Iowa Rules of Civil Procedure.
