About Iowa Civ Pro Blog

I started this site because I like rules. And procedure. And Iowa. And procedural rules in Iowa. (Of the civil nature, in any event.)

I also research and write about the Iowa Rule of Civil Procedure a lot. It makes sense to make some of that information available in a general forum. For some reason, it has apparently not occurred to anyone else to start a web site devoted to the Iowa Rules of Civil Procedure. I cannot imagine why that is the case.

So, this site will discuss the Iowa Rules of Civil Procedure, cases applying them, revisions to them, how they interact with one another, and how they affect civil litigation.
